Pictou County Safe Graduation 2020

At the end of every school year, local emergency personnel host a mock accident for high school students so they can see first hand what happens at an impaired driving scene. We hope it deters everyone from driving impaired by drugs or alcohol and keeps them safe throughout their lifetime.

This year, because of COVID-19, we had to do things a little differently by videotaping the scene and sharing it online. We couldn't have as many people involved as we have in the past, but we hope we have everyone's support in sending the message that impaired driving is not acceptable.

A special thank you to: Pictou County Firefighters Association, New Glasgow Regional Police, Stellarton Police Service, Westville Police Service, Pictou County District RCMP, madd Pictou County, Tri County Towing, as well to Jennifer Sutherland, Dr. Marwan Tolba, and the staff at the Aberdeen Hospital for their message on COVID-19 issues.

We want to wish you all a safe and happy graduation. Congratulations on all of your hard work!
